Daily Walk

This is the area my husband and pooch walk almost every day. The paint is thick and done entirely with palette knives. It was a lot of fun.

Red Earth

This painting is an inspiration from my trip to Sedona. The earth was so warm and the peaks were indescribable.

Light

This is the largest canvas yet. I love painting large and it was a thrill to be able to do this.

Quick Impression

This was one quick impression that I did of the canyon. It was early in the morning in our unit and I realized I hadn't done any painting so I quickly sat down and did this.

Grand Canyon

We're back from our whirlwind tour of the Grand Canyon and Sedona. It was such an incredible experience seeing the colours and contrast of nature. In Sedona we were crinking our necks to look up and in the Grand Canyon we were looking down. Every other expression out of my mouth was "Wow". There was so much inspiration and glory around us that we didn't have time to stop and paint. That will be next time. I will spend at least one week in Sedona and just try to catch the impressions.

I did take about 1,000 photos so I will give "Impressions of Sedona" a try.

Coast Scape

This image, though intuitive, brings me back to my travels in Nova Scotia with the large jutting jetties and craggy coast.
Travel is so important to what I do.
On that note I am heading out to Sedona with a visit to the Grand Canyon. Looking forward to seeing how that influences me. I will be back in a weeks time.
