On Solid Ground

On Solid Ground 15X22 Mixed Media on Archival WC Paper

This image was the start of the rock formation paintings I am doing a series on. The original haystack is in Oregon on the west coast south of Cannon Beach in a place called Kiwanda.  Loved the place and the spirit of the community.

History

History 30"X 22"

Mixed Media and Acrylic on Paper

In my travels to Oregon I have been fascinated with the rock formations and deep crevices.  This is one of many mixed media paintings I have done of my impressions of the area.

This particular painting was also juried into the Kamloops Federation of Canadian artists show.

Overview,  Ink on Paper

This painting has been accepted into the "Transition" show in Vancouver.  The transition was to show going from one state to the other.

This painting was a result of me using the printmaking tools that I was unfamiliar with.  Playing with concepts and ideas.

Fall Bouquet 10X10 Acrylic on Paper

You will of noticed I haven't posted many paintings lately.  I AM painting up a storm but have decided to try entering competitions in galleries and magazines to see if that makes any difference. I thought that it would be better to post after the paintings are accepted.

We'll see how that goes for a while.

This painting is the first to be accepted.  The Federation of Canadian Artists has a still life show towards the end of March.

Happy Painting
